THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE

Many have wondered if a world not like ours exists.  Could there be a paralell universe lurking in the darkest depths of endless space and time? Does it exist?  One human, is about to find out that the answer is yes! Let's meet an innocent avid Track and Field athlete, who goes by the online alias of empb28. He goes about his almost-daily routine of 150's and pyramid-style sprint workouts.  But he is about to stumble upon one of these cruel worlds.  A world where sprinting technique doesn't even do what it's supposed to do: FUCKING HELP YOU OUT! This is a universe paralell to ours.  Nobody was supposed to get as pissed of by this world as he will because nobody deserves to be as frustrated by form as him!  And so today, empb28 will get a good old kick-in-the-balls from god as he enters...........THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE! 

Empb28 is your average Track enthusiast.  He really wants to drop his 100, 200 and 400 meter times down from what they are.  And so, like every training day, he jogs to his local high school athletic field for a workout stopping only to flip-off assholes who yell "Run Forest Run" from their cars.  He gets to the track only to find that a bunch of annoying A.D.H.D. prone high school P.E. students are doing their mile-run test today.  But empb28 is dedicated! He ignores them as best as he can and commences his dynamic stretching.  After doing some more stretche he starts doing running drills.  And now, he is ready.  Ready to waste his fucking time with another workout that doesn't  show up in his times!  No, empb28 hasn't entered THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE yet.  Why not? Because he is still hopeful that he can suceed one day and trusts what he has been taught will help him out.  And so, he begins his session of 6 x 150 meter intervals.  Now, a normal person would feel pop and bounce in their legs while they sprint.  Expecting to feel the same sensation, empb28 goes up to the line and starts the workout. But something is wrong.  His stupid lazy-ass legs won't work! He tries and tries but fails.  He runs a 25 second 150 into a mediocre headwind.  Empb28 can see that he is now indeed entering the world known as THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE.  In our world, guys run 25 seconds for 200 intervals because our legs to what the fuck they're supposed to!  But our poor friend empb28 has left our universe behind (Unless anybody out there has a better explanation).  And so he is pissed of at his lazy lower limbs but continues the workout anyway.  A second and third 150 are run, but they to are around 25 seconds.  Empb28 is starting to realize what is happening now.  But he isn't fully sure that he is now a part of THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE.  And so he decide to perform an experiment not normaly done by most sprinters.  He decides to run the next 150 flat footed.  Yes, flat footed people!  And so he lands on his whole foot the whole 150 meters and makes a startling discovery.  He runs a half-second faster! :-0 He now knows that he has entered THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE! Because, seriously folks, how the living hell can you sprint faster flat-footed than running on the toes.  Well, not in the real world you can't, but in THE HORSE-SHIT ZONE people fail even though they do every last little itsy-bitsy teensy-weensy god dam thing right!  Empb28 hates being driven crazy by sprint form.  He thinks it sucks ass!  But he is an unlucky individual who has been abducted by this strange world where you sprint with good form and you run shitty times.  Will he ever get out?  Only time will tell.

And so that is our story for tonight.  Empb28 currently lives in a paralell universe where hard work and sprint form practice doesn't do shit to help you out.  So paralell universes, therefore, must exist.  The lesson I've hoped you've learned from this is that the sport of Track and field hates empb28 and loves everybody else.  Empb28 will always and forver be an unfortuante pissed-off and frustrated resident of..................THE BULLSHIT ZONE.
